A small amount of information, for a clear purpose

Cove Light Studio collects only the information needed to receive an enquiry, protect the form from abuse, and reply to you.

Who is responsible

Cove Light Studio Ltd., operating publicly as Cove Light Studio, is responsible for the personal information described here. Max Rousseaux-Bridle is the privacy contact.

You can reach the privacy contact at hello@covelight.ca.

What the contact form collects

The contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. You may also provide an organization and select one or more kinds of help. This information is used to understand your enquiry, reply to you, and keep relevant business correspondence.

Do not send passwords, payment information, health information, or other sensitive personal data through the form.

How the form is protected and delivered

Form submissions are encrypted in Cove Light’s managed contact-form service and delivered to a fixed Cove Light recipient through Postmark. Cloudflare Turnstile helps distinguish genuine submissions from automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical signals such as an IP address, browser information, and the form’s site identifier for security purposes. Cove Light uses a one-way representation of the source address for short rate-limit windows rather than storing the raw address with the submission.

Cloudflare and Postmark process limited technical or message information to provide these services. Their processing may occur in the United States or other countries, where the information may be subject to local law. Read Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum and Postmark’s privacy information.

How long information is kept

Message content is normally removed from the contact-form service seven days after a delivery, bounce, or complaint event; 14 days after provider acceptance when no final event is received; and no later than 30 days while delivery is pending. A time-limited operational hold may delay deletion when it is necessary to investigate a delivery or security problem.

A delivered message may remain in Cove Light’s email and business records while it is reasonably needed to respond, assess or provide requested work, maintain the resulting business relationship, meet legal or accounting obligations, or resolve a concern. Enquiries that do not lead to ongoing work are removed when they are no longer needed for those purposes.

Site operation

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Basic server and security logs may contain technical information such as an IP address, requested page, browser information, and time of access. Those logs are used only to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the site.

Your choices and privacy requests

Sending the form means you consent to Cove Light using the information for the purposes explained above. You can instead write directly to hello@covelight.ca.

To ask a privacy question, withdraw consent where applicable, or request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you previously sent, contact hello@covelight.ca. Cove Light may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for an existing business matter.
